  • All races must be completed on a Concept2 RowErg with a PM monitor (PM3, PM4, or PM5).
  • PM5 monitors can connect directly to the Row Nation app.
  • PM3/PM4 entries are valid if a clear monitor photo with the verification code is provided.
  • All competitors — connected or not — must upload a PM monitor photo showing the final result and Concept2 verification code.
  • Machines must not be modified in any way that affects performance.

Relay Rules

Distance: 4 × 500m (2000m total)
Teams: Four athletes (one athlete rows at a time; changeovers are free)

Relay Gender Categories (deterministic, no invalids)

  • Male: MMMM
  • Female: FFFF
  • Mixed (max 2 males): MMFF or MFFF
  • Default to harder category: Any other four-slot combination defaults to Male.
(Gender values must be M or F for each team member.)

Relay Age Categories (deterministic, no invalids)

Age date for relays: Ages are calculated as at 31 December 2025.

  1. Junior Relays — “all under the cap”
The oldest team member determines eligibility:
    • Max age ≤13 → U14
    • Max age ≤15 → U16
    • Max age ≤18 → U19
    • Max age ≤22 → U23
(All four athletes must be under the cap to race in that junior band.)
  2. Masters Relays — soft gate
    • At least 3 athletes aged ≥40, and
    • Team average age ≥40
      Masters 40+
(Four athletes ≥40 always qualify; three ≥40 need an average ≥40.)
  3. Open Relays — by team average age
If not Junior and not Masters:
    • Average age ≥30 → Open 30–39
    • Otherwise → Open 23–29
  4. No-data fallback
If any DOB is missing/invalid, the team races in Open 23–29.

Other Relay Rules

  • One Concept2 RowErg per team.
  • Teammates may assist with straps, handle, or seat during changeovers.

  • Individual registrations may be edited until 25 October 2025, 23:59 AEDT.
