Choose a short test, enter your average watts, then use your Gear targets with stroke rate caps.

For continuous rows of thirty minutes or longer, subtract about ten watts from your Gear 2 target. For short high rate bursts at thirty or more strokes per minute, add about twenty watts to Gear 3 or Gear 4. If technique breaks down or breathing drifts up, move down one gear.
